Silver Shadows
DESCRIPTION
A contemporary painting depicting our Australian landscape. I have used acrylic paints in both opaque and coloured glaze application, enamel pens and silver leaf. In this piece, I wanted to create a landscape with a bit of a difference. It is virtually a landscape inside a landscape, seperated by the rectangular strips. This gives the painting a contemporary feel, even though the subject matter is traditional. The finished product has a romantic ambience, achieved by using soft glazes. The silver leaf has been used to form the shadow trees in the background, which gives it another texture. Signed on front.
