Kakadu Falls
DESCRIPTION
This impressionistic painting was inspired by the sheer beauty of the Jim Jim Falls, Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory. During the wet season, the falls, which have a 140 to 200-meter cascade, can only be seen by air, as the heavy tropical rains make road access impossible. The enormous ochre-coloured verticle cliffs are a spectacular sight and the Falls area is registered on the Australian National Heritage List. My bucket list just keeps getting longer!
