Event Horizon
DESCRIPTION
This abstract realism painting is part of a new series, 'Seeing stars,' where I am exploring the universe on canvas. In this case, I have captured the incredibly intriguing concept of a black hole. I was interested to learn that the area around a black hole, is known as the event horizon, meaning, a position of no return. While painting this piece, I enjoyed using coloured glazes to create the star formations and soon realised that the sky’s the limit, literally! Signed on front.
MEDIUM
Acrylic on stretched canvas, sides painted, sealed and ready to hang.
SIZE
51cm (W) x 40.5cm (H) x 3.5cm (D)
