Coober Pedy Colour Wheel
DESCRIPTION
This painting was inspired by my interest in Australia's magnificent gemstones, opals. I find them to be so intriguing for the simple fact that they are dug out of arid desert regions, such as Coober Pedy, and yet they're colours are so vibrant and spectacular! Their prismatic colour spectrum is one of nature's wonders! The piece has been painted on a circular canvas, which led me to the title, Coober Pedy Colour Wheel. Sides painted, fully sealed with UV protective varnish and ready to hang. Signed on front.
MEDIUM
Acrylic and gold leaf on stretched canvas.
SIZE
76.2cm (W) x 76.2cm (H) x 2cm (D)
